The Bray Park Family Doctors team offer a wide range of services for our patients. A overview of our services, fees and general information can be found below.
We are a mixed billing clinic for all standard consults for Medicare card holders, if you do not hold a Medicare Card please be aware there will be a $75.00 fee for a standard consult.
Depending on circumstances, a home visit may be organized for existing patients who are unable to attend the surgery.
We are registered with Appointuit reminder services to offer reminders for pap smears, repeat tests, health assessments, etc. Please advise your doctor if you do not wish to receive these.
Patients are responsible for making a follow up appointment after having a blood test, x-ray or other test. If the doctor does require to see you following a test one our nurses/receptionists will call and advise you to make a follow up appointment in a time frame specified by the doctor.
Outside of normal practice hours, we urge patients to call the Hello Home Doctor on 13 41 00 who will provide house calls on weekends and public holidays. IN THE CASE OF AN EMERGENCY ALWAYS CALL 000.
Please call (07) 3495 0118 during business hours or visit our website 24/7 to make appointments. If you have 2 or more concerns, please make a longer consult. Please advise reception if you are booking in for a Pap smear, Immunisation, Procedure, Excision, Paperwork or if you are a New Patient. We are an appointment-based system; however, our system has appointments reserved for on the day to ensure ample availability for all patients. Please advise our reception team when booking an appointment if you require an interpreter.
You can call and leave a message for your doctor during surgery hours. Emergency calls will be triaged by the Practice Nurse. If you require a translator we can arrange that for you through the Translating and Interpreting Service on 131 450.
In order to provide quality care and maintain accessibility to all our patients we require at least 1 hours’ notice for all cancellations. We keep record of all late cancellations & missed appointments.
- If 2 appointments are missed by yourself and/or your children within a 12-month period a consult fee of $65 is charged. Until this fee is paid no further appointments will be offered unless deemed to be an emergency.
These fees are not able to be claimed back from Medicare or private health insurances and are a private practice fee.
“Your medical records are confidential documents.” It is always the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal health information and to ensure
that the information is only available to authorised members of staff. We use this information you provide to manage your personal health care. We generally disclose selected information to various health services
involved in supporting, your health care management (e.g. pathology, radiology). If you have any questions regarding how we handle your personal health information or need to arrange access to you records, please ask the Practice Manager or your doctor, as appropriate.
